I am the third one?

Okay let's go:

My name is Chiyo and I'm from Germany.
I had the chance to live and work one year in Disneyworld, Florida, and it was the best I've ever done in my life. Now I'm looking forward to get a job at Disneyland Paris, which is actually the park of my dream (but I still love Disneyworld and miss it so much).

Beside of the attractions and the atmosphere in Disney parks I love the characters, I spent so many wonderful hours with them in Florida and I've got a lot of pictures.

But my all-time favorite is Timon from "The Lion King", he is the cutest character ever (in my opinion )

I'm looking forward to wonderful times and discussions at this board, and maybe I can bring some german friends from the german Disneyboard with me

Lovley Greetings from Germany
Chiyo ^^

P.S: If there are any more question, don't hesitate - I'll give my best to answer, cause deep in my heart I never stopped being a cast member

Hello all!

Greetings from the SF Bay Area! My name is Alan, and I would like to extend a great big "Thank You" to Jon and Dan for having a great website like this! Like many of you here, I have been a fan of Disney animation from time immemorial. So far I have only had the pleasure to visit the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, through sporadic visits since infancy to the present day. I hope to visit the Walt Disney World Resort area, although that may not happen until 2013 with the scheduled completion of the Fantasyland re-vamp.

Cheers!

Hello fellow Character Meeters!

My name is Alex and I am a proud member of the famous Character Hunting group known as the Belleboys!! Big Grin :

From left to right: Belleboy Simon, Belleboy Jules, Belleboy Nathan, Belle, Prince Adam, Belleboy Alex (me), Belleboy Patrick

I have Met 92 Disney Characters... getting close to the 100! Not near as many Dan and Jon I'm sure, but still, 100 will be a big milestone for me.

Glad to have finally found a good site dedicated to Character Meeting, excited to be here!

Greetings Character Meeters!

My name is Simon, and I too am a proud member of the famous Character Hunting group known as the Belleboys!

From left to right: Belleboy Simon (me), Belleboy Jules, Belleboy Nathan, Belle, Prince Adam, Belleboy Alex, Belleboy Patrick

I have shared many of my Character Meeting experiences with Belleboy Alex, and have Met 90 different Disney Characters so far! I am desperate to reach the big 100, but perhaps am more keen to Meet Captain Hook, who incredibly has eluded me on every of my Disney vacations!

I'm a massive fan of the website, and am glad that all Character Discussion can now occur in one spot!

Question for the BelleBoys...Your goal of meeting 100 characters got me thinking about how many characters I've had a chance to meet. Just curious...do you count a particular character in another outfit another character? For example, would you could Mickey Mouse in his classic tuxedo and Mickey Mouse in his Band Concert costume two different characters? Or would he just be one character?

I just counted how many characters I met and, without costume changes, remarkably, I'm at 119, which is crazy considering that Disneyland is not known for its variety of characters.

Meeting Mickey in two different outfits only counts as one Character by our rules!

We're quite strict - for example, in the photo posted previously we have clearly Met Prince Adam. We have also Met the Beast in the past, yet we only count Prince Adam/The Beast as one Character, as they are the same entity! (Essentially one photo is with Prince Adam in human form, then the other is with Prince Adam in Beast form - but they are the same Character at heart, and thus only one Meet by our rules!)

119 different Characters is a mighty-fine achievement!
We aspire to reach those sorts of Character Meeting levels Big Grin

Interesting rules, BB Simon!

I know you'll be able to get to 100 soon. At least you got to meet Prince Adam in both his human and Beast form. That's something I've been dying to do and they seem to keep eluding me.

Good luck in your hunt! Big Grin

Loren, we work by the same rule. The same physical character is only one character. We love to meet them in new outfits too, but count those occasions as separate experiences.
Loren, I keep a check of mine, Jon's and some of our friends' character activity in the event I never need to call upon them to use pictures for the site (as I haver indeed with you in the past)... My master list says you have met 139! Or was your 119 just for DL, and not including WDW?
As for the Beast/Adam... well you know what I'm going to say!!!!!....

Yep, definitely Prince Adam = The Beast - they are the same Character, they only count as one Character on your track record.

The Queen from Snow White is an interesting one too, you can get her in her Evil Queen form, or her 'witch-like' form, but they are the same Character. Sneaky.

However, I do agree that sometimes getting a Character in a different attire is exciting. For instance, we have Met Belle in both her provincial/country attire and her ballgown. Likewise, I really do enjoy Meeting Sorcerer Mickey.

Without wanting to disrupt discussion of what constitutes a different Character/attire, I shall make my introductions.
I'm Belleboy Nathan, already pictured in this thread, as the one who successfully claimed the beautiful Belle's arm for the official Meet photo. Whilst you may have high expectations of me, heralding as I do from the (maybe one day) famous Belleboy clan, I'm afraid that compared to Belleboys Alex and Simon, and certainly compared to the serious Character Meeters here on this forum, my list of Met Characters is shamefully poor. A group trip to Paris last December was my first as a Character Meeter, and for many of the 'Opportunists Meets', such as those claimed during a parade, I was attempting to take the Meet photograph in the short time frame available, rather than appearing in it, assisting in the quest for the 100 Meets. All part of the apprenticeship, you might say! Although, photos from two previous trips when I was much younger (and much more shy) did yield photographic evidence of two Meets which the other Belleboys have not yet acquired: Launchpad McQuack and, much to their dismay, HOOK!! (albeit the old style Hook - but I guess that's an issue of attire!). My trump cards, perhaps? Big Grin

Anyway, thanks for having me! A pleasure!
