DLP do have Lotso, they just don't use him! As for Yzma, she does exist in the US, but again, they never use her!

Us with Lotso at DLP last year...

LOL.. no worries... this should probably go in the Disneyland section tho and there is actually a post about it there... but yeah, it is very exciting... not sure if it means he could make more appearances... but we can hope!! and hope he will make an appearance at WDW again too!

Awwww, who doesn't love Goofy? He's always pleased to see you in the parks and he gives wonderful hugs. =)

I'm always amazed at how many different outfits he has too, wouldnt it be nice if he chopped n changed a bit more often in the parks.

He's always been a huge favourite of mine and those little cartoons that feature him at the character spot in Epcot always have me smiling and forgetting we've been in line for 50 minutes! I need to go watch his movies and shorts again now. Happy Birthday Goofy and a great big and hy-uck! <3

Awww, happy birthday to all 3 of them! I love that movie, Kleenex always at the ready though.

I've met Russell & Carl at DHS but missed Dug as he was on break, hoping he'll still be over at AK come winter. <3

Today is the 3rd anniversary of the world premiere of Disney/PIXAR's feature, UP!

So, in true Character Central style, let's celebrate with a photo filled tribute of the characters - Carl, Russell and Dug - at the parks!

Hi all,

I have been a little behind this week, but May 15th was the 20th Anniversary of Fantasmic! at the Disneyland Resort.

A special event was held for selected AP holders. They had an exclusive showing, which featured some really neat characters on the Mark Twain t the finale - including Roger Rabbit! yes, Roger Rabbit!!

The characters then went to the Train Station on Main Street to wave goodnight to fans as they exited.

So, here's our photo filled tribute to the awesome character filled show that is Fantasmic!

Happy 20th birthday Fantasmic!

Hi all! I have been very busy this last week, and so have missed some key dates, including Goofy's Birthday!

Goofy first made his starring debut in the Mickey Mouse short, Mickey's Revue on the 12th May 1932.

So here is a belated photo tribute to that loveable but clumsy dog!

Disney-Me, yes Roger WAS there! As were all three Brer's. The Pigs and Wolf were not though, as far as I know - but I could be wrong!

Always a bummer when a character can't sign. I remember Russell couldn't at DCA, but Dug could; doesn't really make sense to me because you would think the gaint dog costume would be the more restrictive to signing...

It would be great to see Oswald out and about...Drew, do you know if they have a costume for him around? I feel like one might have been used at a special event.
In addition, I would love to have Bernard, Bianca, and Orville back, as well as Pete from Mickey Mouse cartoons. A face Kuzco, although he would be seldom recognized, could be hilarious, especially if a face character Kronk was created to go with him.

Hey guys and gals! So a while back, Disney Parks Blog announced special AP performances of Fantasmic! for this week and next week...I can't remember the dates but I know there was one yesterday. Just wanted to see if anyone out there went to the event or is planning to go next week. I'm not an AP, and live nowhere near DLR anyway, but it's definitely my kind of event and wanted to see your stories and photos!

Reports on MiceChat suggest that there was a retrospective preshow on the mist screens, a special finale at yesterday night's show with all the Brers, the Three Pigs, BBW and ROGER RABBIT, and that there was a large amount of characters at the train station at park closing.
Oh, and Dan & Jon, I just got your package! It brought a smile to my face on a rather unpleasant day. Thanks so much guys!!

Update: my family and I went to the Mothers Day Brunch over the weekend, and had an amazing time! Food was really good and had the opportunity to meet with several characters. We ended up being there for 4 hours.

Here are the characters that we met there:
Chip, Dale, Clarabelle Cow, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Snow White, Dopey, Tiana, and of course Cinderella

Great!!! It's good that Disneyland has started to bring out "rare" characters!!!!!! I had met her at Disneyland Paris before!!! She was a lot of fun!!
