My visits to Disneyland were a little strange this week as I went on both a Wednesday and a Saturday. This being the off season, there wasn't a lot of new things going on.
I did manage to catch Dug at Grizzly Peak Pass where he's been meeting guests while the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail Wilderness Explorer Camp was down for refurbishment. I actually loved meeting him here and would love to see some characters meeting here in the future. It's a nice picturesque place that would be great for any of Disney's woodland characters such as Meeko, Koda, Kenai or even Chip n' Dale.

The Redwood Creek Challenge Trail Wilderness Explorer Camp did re-open over the weekend and got a few photos of Dug and Russell there.

I also got a chance to see Jake. No, it's not the first time that I've met him. But, I mention it because I wasn't able to get into the Jake and the Never Land Pirates Disney Parks Blog Meet Up at Disney California Adventure on Saturday, February 4, 2012.

But, I did know somebody who did go. My friend Dan Nguyen was lucky enough to attend and gave me permission to share some of his photos. Guests were treated to a concert by the Never Land Pirate Band and then got to meet Bones and Sharky, Jake, Captain Hook and Smee. They also got a World of Color FastPass, popcorn and punch, stickers, a Jake and the Never Land Pirates CD and a Re-Admission Pass. Here are some of his pictures:

Other than that, Wednesday was a fabulous day for character meets with absolutely no lines at all:

This next weekend and over the next few weekends, Disneyland will be holding a New Orleans Bayou Bash in New Orleans Square, featuring performances by Tiana, Naveen and Louis (probably the scaled down, yet, still wonderful, version of Tiana's Showboat Jubilee) and meet-and-greet opportunities with Mardi Gras Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Pluto and Chip n' Dale. So, I'll be sure to be bringing you photos from the Bayou Bash! edited by Loren on 2/6/2012
