Hi all,

So there has been a lot of new Character news over the last couple of days, all in Florida strangely enough!

The Muppet Pre-Parade will end on the 2nd October this year.

As a reminder, as I reported previously, Block Party Bash is ending on the 1st January 2011, and being replaced with a "new" parade from January 14th. It is expected that the performers and Green Army men will be removed, and other PIXAR characters added. A new soundtrack and couple of other changes will mean that this is basically be the same parade, with no show stops.

Also another reminder that Agent Oso is replacing Jojo at the Play and Dine in Hollywood Studios. Start date is expected at being October 3rd.

Rapunzel and Flynn Rider are starting their meets in the Fairytale Garden following the eviction of Belle on October 15th. Their meet is being labelled as a "play and greet", but no details to what that means yet. Rapunzel and Flynn will also start meets this Autumn at Disneyland and Disneyland Paris.

Duffy the Disney Bear, again as reported earlier, will be arriving at his new location in EPCOT on the 14th October. He will also be debuting at California Adventure, but I have not heard when or where in the park as yet.

Mickey and Minnie Mouse are expected to soon start appearing in Expo Hall on Main Street. Demolition of Toontown is expected to be early Spring 2011. This is likely to become their permanent location. The Princesses will also be meeting here, but only until their new locations open in the new Fantasyland.

The Fairies on the other hand will be moving to another park, and no word yet on what will happen to them either while they move or after Fantasyland is complete.

Now to some really cool and exciting news. Following the end of the Power Rangers at Hollywood Studios, sources are indicating that Phineas, Ferb AND Perry (!) will be appearing from early next year near where the Power Rangers used to meet! It has been suggested that the former Ranger's car will be re-themed and a new soundtrack added. They will arrive in similar style to how the rangers did. Thanks to WDW Character Hunt for this news (Mickey, the Fairies and Rapunzel we have known about for a while, but they have "re-confirmed" it).

Lotso is expected to leave next month also, but no confirmation of that yet.

A very reliable source on WDWMagic forums has suggested that Peg Leg Pete, Mickey's nemesis for many years, and later Goofy's neighbour will start making appearances! No other information as yet.

Staying with the Magic forum, the same source has also said that a new fairy will be added to the Hollows! Her name will be Periwinkle. She will be from the next Tinker Bell movie, after the current new one.

Finally, The Daily Disney reported that Mickey Mouse changed the way he meets Guests at Chef Mickey's at Contemporary. Apparently now greeting his fans as they enter the restaurant, rather than at their tables. The other Characters still meet at the tables. It has been added that this was a trial, and that Mickey was also seen around the dining room, despite his welcoming greeting.
