Hi all,

After a slow week with character news, I have some small updates for you.

Starting with Hollywood Studios at WDW, according to Studios Central the "new" parade that we announced here on the blog recently, has a name! The PIXAR Pals Cavalcade will use music mixed from the PIXAR Play Parade at California Adventure, and debuts on January 16th 2011. Block Party Bash ends on January 1st, and it is expected that most of the current floats will be recycled.

Also at DHS, there are new "VIP" meet 'n' greet areas under construction around the Sorcerer's Hat. These are expected to be used by the Fab 5 and Friends when they return to the Hat with brand new outfits. We haven't heard when this expected to open. New outfits are likely to be either Studios themed (director etc), or movie star (top and tails, gowns etc).

Finally for Studios, Studios Central also welcomed a new Citizen of Hollywood to the park this week - Ben Appetit. Ben is a famous French chef who cooks for all the A-List celebrities. Be sure to check out their Citizens of Hollywood main page as they have lots of characters we have never seen in the park!

Moving over to Tokyo now, it was revealed on micechat that the Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights will be receiving some brand new floats next summer. Aladdin is expected to join the parade, as well as the Fairies, and a replacement float for Toy Story.

Finally, Halloween Seasons have gotten well under way by now across all the Resorts. Our good friend Loren was at WDW last week and attended mickey's Not So Scary. No real new character changes to report there, as expected. You can check out his Flickr set here. We haven't heard so far as to any changes in California either, but will keep you posted. At Disneyland Paris their Halloween Season kicks off this weekend. A schedule was posted prematurely online, and saved by someone on PhotoBucket. This doesn't really tell us anything we didn't know already, but does more confirm what we expected. No Dancing Witching Spells this year (no great loss), but in it's place we do get a new Halloween Castle/Hub show, which will be great to see. The Villains have moved from Main Street to Phantom Manor, and the Snow Witch is not listed this year, but we hope she will greet with the Villains as she was fabulous last year. Jack and Sally have also returned. The only other notable difference is that characters are also listed for Fantasyland, but as per the website, and what we have known for some weeks, this is likely to be either random Villains, or the Fab 5 Friends in Halloween outfits (most likely the ones that were in Frontierland last year). So besides the cool new Halloween Show, just lots of reshuffling of characters from place to place.
