Hi all,

So yesterday saw the start of the Mickey's Halloween Treat parties at the Disneyland Resort, and today marks the start of Halloween Season at Disneyland Paris.

At Disneyland California the Disney Parks Blog has reported that there are some new photo locations this year and also which characters will be out and about during the nights.

To be honest, there doesn't sound as though there will be anything spectacular on offer, but we have contacts in CA who attended last night and who will be reporting back to us on any character news - so stay tuned to the blog over the next few days. The website does list all the regular fare - Mickey, Minnie, some PIXAR friends, Pixie Hollow etc, but the one notable listing is Critter Pals by Splash Mountain. This potentially could mean that the ever elusive Brer Rabbit might make an appearance, but we'll believe it when we see it!

The Disney Parks Blog also announced that there would be some new dance parties this year at the event. One will be in New Orleans Square and be hosted by Jack Skellington, and the other over in Tomorrowland and be hosted by Buzz Lightyear. Again, no other extraordinary characters announced or expected.

At Disneyland Paris, as I mentioned at the start, the Halloween Season kicked off today, with our friends at the Characters Photos Blog reporting and posting live from DLP with all the latest photos from the new show and characters around the park. They haven't updated their website yet, but I have it on good authority that they will tonight! For now, why not join their Facebook Page and follow the live updates there?

Finally something from Florida. Not real news, but we found this article online from Magical Kingdoms and thought it was worth mentioning. They detail what characters are out this year at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Parties and where to find them. Makes for an interesting read, but nothing really new.
