Ed is quite insane, and one of the evil hyenas who work for the villainous scar. Starved by Scar's ruthless rein over the Pride Lands, in the end Ed turns on his master, proving that a hyena is not to be messed with. Mad and dangerous through and through, Ed should be left well alone.
