Today is Pluto's 81st Birthday, so join us in a picture tribute to Mickey's faithful pal.
Pluto originally appeared as a blood hound in 1930 in a short cartoon, and went on to become Minnie's pet "Rover", before finally taking residence with Mickey Mouse in 1931.
Pluto has a girlfriend by the name of Dinah the Dachshund, and has a dislike for chipmunks following one disastrous encounter at Christmas!
Always by Mickey's side, a faithful friend and companion, Pluto is truly a Mouse's best friend.

Today is the 10th Birthday of Tokyo Disney Resort's second gate park, Tokyo DisneySea.

Hi all, As you know, yesterday was Disneyland's 56th Birthday. To celebrate the occasion at 2.30pm in Town Square they played Walt Disney's opening day speech, and a whole host of characters sprang from the backstage exits to fill the street with no less than 69 characters (that I could count!). Our friend Mr Daps was there, and has all the pictures and video from the special moment here. Hopefully some year we will go on the Birthday day itself and see a similar fantastical array of characters! I did hear that also a short while later throughout the park, some of the characters came out to greet their fans. I saw pictures of the Princesses and Princes who were out near the Castle. Hi all,
When I looked at my calendar this week I totally missed the fact that it had been Disney's Hollywood Studios birthday, so I apologise for this late post! Hollywood Studios opened this week in 1989.
Also, today is Norway at EPCOT's birthday, opening in 1988.
