Some small updates for you this weekend.

Loren posted to the Forum a few updates from California, so why not check those out.

Over in Florida, this weekend saw the launch of the brand new Star Tours attraction in Hollywood Studios. The launch event was combined with this weekend’s Star Wars Weekends events, which made for an extremely busy, but exciting Star Wars filled day for everyone there! Lots of characters have of course been there, and were present at the new ride’s launch. Why not check out this forum post that Jon made including two videos from the opening event.

Staying with the Studios, over at the Animation Building the new Winnie the Pooh meet ‘n’ greet opened in place of Lotso’s location. Currently we have only heard reports of Pooh meeting there. We hope that they make this a bit more exciting and at least add one more character to the line up! The fact that the area was made into a Pooh meet is sad anyway, as the Pooh friends can be found all over the parks quite regularly – why not use the opportunity to have someone a bit more exciting there?

Today in at Disneyland Paris saw the launch of a new happening in the Studios. Titled simply “Meet the Disney Stars”, the event uses the vehicles previously seen in the Good Morning Walt Disney Studios parade and the Toon Train. Characters reported to be aboard and meeting Guests today include some of the Big 8 and friends, Toy Story pals, The Incredibles and the Ratatouille stars.

Finally I heard that Chewbacca might make a return to Disneyland Paris again. He was out for a three month period last year from October thought the end of the year, but then vanished again, having not been seen in nearly two decades. I have no confirmation yet, but like I said, I have heard he may return again.
